Halló, this is Iceland.

Here is a moving-picture with me in it. It is more about my humans than it is about me. They are very good humans, these. Maybe one day you can come to me in a flying machine and meet them.

Everything about this is awesome. Beautiful scenery. Beautiful, fun people. Iceland (and Scandinavia in general) just feels incredibly welcoming to me. I’ve been thinking a lot about how I want to craft the culture of Minefold. This video nails exactly the personality I want to promote. I don’t want Minefold to be exclusive or too serious. We’ll celebrate everybody equally. We’ll encourage thought. Most of all, we’ll encourage having fun.

This is a quick insight that will probably evolve into an essay.

Crystallization (2010) by Iris Van Herpen

Her site is well worth a peruse even if you’re not into fashion. Futuristic clothing which looks amazing and hides the complexity of it’s construction. Inspiring.

"I realize in studying our society and culture that it’s hypocritical and not really real. I think that has always been the role of a drag queen: To remind the culture that it is not to be taken seriously and that you are not who you think you are, per the description on your driver’s license."
